My name is Dianne and I am deeply rooted in my beliefs of love, healing, creating, art, compassion, being kind to myself and others and bringing more connection throughout the world. My journey and vision in life is to inspire you to believe in yourself and to live your true authentic and best self.

I am extremely passionate about empowering you to strengthen the love that is already within you, to implement self-care practices into your life, guide you to shift to a positive mindset, enhance your kreative self-expression, help you see the value within yourself, decrease anxiety, boost confidence & social skills, grief, life transitions + any topic you would like to nourish especially through art & mindfulness.

My Background Story:

​

Throughout my life, I have experienced a lot of trauma, hardships and grief at a very young age. This led to depression, high anxiety, poor decision-making, and being impulsive with my behaviors and reactions. In my early twenties, I realized I wanted to improve my mental and emotional well-being. I decided to make choices that better aligned with who it is that I wanted to be. I started to self-regulate, I began to learn tools on how to decrease my anxiety and I overcame my depression and started making decisions that benefited my life and mental health. I transformed my life from dark to light. I truly believe our internal world is a reflection of our external world and that everyone is capable of transforming.

Due to the hard work and healing I have put into myself over the last 18+ years, I have grown to love the person I am today. I look back and see how I took it upon myself to figure it out on my own, although it was no easy task, it inspired me to want to give back to others, to be their support and guide as needed.

​

I truly believe our own personal experiences are what we can relate to others with, to not make it feel so all alone in life, which then-in-turn, allows us to feel authentically supported. This is why I am open about sharing my story because it allows me to wholeheartedly connect, come from a place of understanding and help guide you through what has helped me and helped so many others I have worked alongside with.

During my journey of changing my not-so-good habits into healthy habits, I decided to go to school to become a therapist. During my schooling experience, I was amazed to see that the tools and skills I was applying to myself throughout the past years, actually had names and were also being used by therapists. I was so excited to see I was being reassured and was on the right path!

​

Which Brings Me Here Today:

​​

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology with a concentration in Art Therapy and I have interned in an outpatient facility working with children, teens and adults. In these 1:1 and family sessions, I helped them improve on their self-esteem, confidence, social skills and stress relief while providing helpful resources and techniques for those who were suffering from anxiety, trauma, depression, physical and sexual abuse, life transitions and suicidal tendencies. During this intern experience, I also facilitated self-care groups for adults and social skills groups for autistic tweens and teens.

​

I graduated with my Master’s Degree in 2020. During this time, our world was pretty much shut down and everywhere I looked for a job, all the hiring departments were in a hiring freeze. I was so excited to have a Master’s Degree and go out into the world to do what I have been passionately wanting to do since I was 15 years old. Time was passing and I did not see any change in the state of our world, so I took it upon myself to continue with my passion of helping others so I took courses on how to become a life coach, became certified in Life & Mindfulness Coaching and then obtained an LLC for Kreate What U Want. I was so eager to utilize all of the skills I have practiced and learned throughout my life and to finally apply them to give back to the world, especially during such an uncertain time in all of our lives.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a difference being that therapy and counseling are not the same as coaching, I want to make clear that Kreate What U Want is not a therapy and counseling practice - it is a coaching service that focuses on your well-being of the present moment and future goals.

​

​​Furthermore, I also hold a BA in Psychology, an Associates in Early Childhood Development, I am a level II Reiki practitioner, I am a Support Leader at Still Standing Together where I present at workshops that empower women, I continue to take CE courses, I am an art facilitator at adult retreats and I teach painting to the tweens and teens in the homeschooling community, along with being a homeschooling parent to a teenager myself. 

​

I thrive on healing myself and maintaining my own self-love and self-care so I can empower others to do the same because I believe each individual plays a role in the advancement of the collective consciousness of humans. I believe that the more we heal as individuals, the more healing our world will experience (the ripple effect).

​

With that said, I am a huge advocate of using art in my sessions since art has been a main tool of helping me get through my own trauma and hardships. 

 

Creating art allows me to see my life’s purpose, provides clarity, decreases anxious and stressful feelings, boosts my confidence and self-esteem, increases my focus and concentration, brings me more into the present of the now, improves my emotional resilience, helps build discipline in my life, enhances my self-awareness, improves my mood + so so many more positive benefits and results. 

 

I want you to know that I like to meet the client (you and/or your child) exactly where you are in each session. So if you want to just talk during a session, we can just talk. If you're feeling drawn to try an art exercise, I will always come prepared for you. I would like to provide you some of my thoughts on the art wellness component of the session:

About The ART-WELLNESS Process:

​

Can we agree that sometimes we cannot find the “right” words to describe what we are thinking, feeling and what our emotions are like in the moment?! Creating art helps us do just that - explore our feelings and emotions to discover more about ourselves. Art has a way of tapping into the unconscious to bring forward the conscious.

​

It is all about the process of creating the art and tapping into each moment and how the creative process is making you feel.

​

​Meeting You (The Client) Where You Are:

 

As I mentioned earlier, I like to meet you and/or your child where you are in each session. This could be through talk, creating art, and/or mindfulness tools and activities.

 

Through my observation of my own personal life and studying and working in the psychology and mental health field, I have learned that every human has suffered and experienced pain in their lives one-way-or-another. This pain can still be stored within the body which could cause blockages that may withhold the individual from moving forward in their life and reaching their full potential. This is where I can come in and help you flourish and prosper and help you break down barriers you have once built towards love.

Dianne is magical! I feel so confident and powerful after every session or class with her.
